Oh, blissful, delightful, healthful cool temperatures. I've felt like microwaved dog breakfast for days thanks to temperatures some folks would find delightfully temperate (90s). Woke up to 53 degrees with a high of only 73 predicted and it is like recovering from a bout of ill-health.
It's all coming out way now. Heat index of 110 on Tuesday, they're saying.

I work in a school kitchen and am legitimately scared for mine and my co workers health these next few days. It's on average 4-10 degrees hotter in there than it is outside. With only a few rinky dinky fans and no windows.

It's scary for a lot of people right now. Will be glad when the heatwave is over.

Bless my gentle AC. Had to go downstairs to grab a package and it must be 10C warmer in the hallways in my building. I don't know how anyone could manage a day like this without an AC. Tomorrow is going to be the worst of it. Really not looking forward to that but it's not too bad at the far end of my apartment right now, the furthest point from the AC - 25.5C.

Clicked, so I must post. The sun sets in front of my apartment, which has big windows from end to end on that side of the unit. So, it gets pretty warm at the end of the day, especially on hot ass days like today. Kitty loves the sunbeams of course, but I could do without the extra heat.

So this evening I've just been hiding out in my bedroom with the AC watching episodes of The Price is Right from the early to mid 1980s. It's been a lot of fun, though it's often difficult to guess what the prices of things were back when Bob had brown hair.

Not an advertisement, just an endorsement - Pluto TV kicks ass. Dozens of live channels for various popular shows, plenty of on-demand content, and it's all free without any registration or anything. The only catch is there are ad breaks, just like the old days when TV was free to watch.
