As long as I'm allowed to use one I'm good. I mean I won't be happy about it, but I'll do it.

Nah, I want cute little graphs that compute and plot for me. That being said, I used paper and pen to keep track of word count on Book II when I was seriously pressed for time to finish.
Making a note of the document word count at the end of each writing session is good enough for me. What NaNoWriMo offered was the facility to enter that in a public site for encouragement and accountability.
If we have a thread for this, we can do the same. I'd even attach a screenshot, if it weren't such a pain to reduce them down small enough to post on Xenforo.

you can host them somewhere else and link them at a larger size... we've got the file size set small here because we are limited to 100gb on our hosting plan
