Can Katara play any instrument or sing?

Yes, Katara can sing! Her voice is on the deep side, rich and resonant, almost husky. Her tone can be soothing and demanding at the same time. It’s got an earthiness that evokes mystery and power.

Also, I was wondering if you all would be okay with the 3 pretending to be traveling musicians. I think blending in is the way to go and so, I need some fake names. Any ideas for your characters?

Music is part of Olive's past, so it's fitting even. In fact, you gave me some ideas...

As for fake names, here are three random that I found in the Internet.

Clara	Latin	Bright, famous
Luna	Latin	Moon
Arabella	Latin	“Yielding to prayer”

I think they are cool.

Also remember that Yuuna is with them (even if invisible), and Yuuna is literally the spirit that introduced music to the world. This is an incredibly important point for very later on.

I'm not sure if she can play instruments. Remember the violin from her dreams? I haven't quite decided what it is yet.

Once the horses had been led off the ferry, the women mounted and began down the nearest road toward Chesli Town. As they rode, Ravenna decided it was time to share what had been on her mind since the ferryman had recognized Olive.

“We need to blend in, not hide, but blend in.”

“How would we do that?” Olive asked.

“Well,” Ravenna smiled and glanced at Katara who eyed her with suspicion.

“What do you want, Ravenna?”

“You’re a Poet, right? You know how to sing?”

“Of course I do!” Katara said, demonstrating a smooth, rich singing voice with a scale of notes. “What do you want?”

Also, feel free to come up with lyrics and take your time with this plot. I extended their stay as I know everyone wanted more adventure before arriving at Cliffcross. Also, I learned something about Ravenna I didn't know. Haha.

I have to ask, where in the map are we right now? It's important for us to be in the same page, but also, we need to be doing world building. Them going to a nameless town isn't going to cut it.

I'm not a huge fan of world building myself but it's pretty necessary for fantasy.

It's best for you to have the ability to do it yourself. You want a view of it so if the landscape doesn't work for you, you can suggest modifications. After all, the idea is for us all to "view" the world through the same eyes so we can coordinate better.

Browsers are not the best at zooming into images. You might want to download the image and zoom into it with your computer's photo viewer program. That should be easier.

Araspeth and her courtiers maintained a substantial distance between themselves and the three young women. As High Priestess, knowledge of the scriptures were among her many responsibilities. Despite that, and the plain evidence of the angel mark upon Olive’s forehead, she could not bring herself to believe the prophecies were being fulfilled now, right before her.

During her studies, Araspeth had grown confident that she was born too soon to bear witness. All of the strife, her mother, Gamma, seeking righteous rebellion, and Araspeth seeking stable clarity, would be for naught if it is...

Hey, sorry I've been absent. I've been feeling extremely down about my writing and I've been really afraid to even try. Most days, I just think about it, but I can't seem to act.

Sorry to hear it. I was wondering where you were. Sorry you are in a slump and hope you come out of it soon. Take your time. Sometimes summer slows us down. That's okay.

I wonder if you might set a small goal - remember our word minimum is only 300 words - and just write a scene with only Olive and no other characters - just her reflecting on her situation, and her state of mind. Just a suggestion.

300 words is a good idea. I am sorry you are feeling down. I understand and I hope you feel better soon.

Sorry to hear it. I was wondering where you were.

I was away thinking about writing. I was honestly too busy thinking to discuss writing with the outside world in anyway. No conclusions were reached, and the only thing that got me to come back is how my turn is coming to an end.

Honestly, I just need to stop thinking about it and get a move on, but that's easier said than done. I care about writing good things. I don't want to just write. I am like this in general. If I'm going to do something, I want to do it well. But that does get in the way of writing. Perfectionism is counterintuitive in many ways.

Regardless, I'll try to get the post done today. I don't think I will do 300 words as I favour longer pieces.

Hey, is it okay if I ask for a 1 day extension? I'm onto something but I couldn't get it complete because some stuff came up. That includes a really bad 39c heatwave that has caused me to loose loads of sleep. My house has no AC so I have to survive through them without that.

The temperatures float around 36-39 but the feel-like values actually loom around 42c, which feels right.
