As a fellow male Gemini, I wanna point out that some of us combine the two with not always entirely atrocious results. I've written some of my best stuff with the assistance of the liquid muse. Did I have to go back a couple of three times while sober and fix it? Entirely beside the point.

Anyways, I had beer for lunch and saw this thread and it seemed like a fit. Hello.

Hmm. Does that make me an anomaly, then? *wonders* I write stories, but I don't drink while doing so. (Not alcohol, anyway).

It's not that I don't want to. I just don't like the taste and smell of alcohol. (And yes -- I tried beer, wine, whiskey, and spirits, and I didn't like any of them. The only alcoholic drink I can just about stomach is vodka, and only in very small amounts, i.e. one shot-glass only.

I also tried crème de Menthe on ice, which helped with spicy food or big meals. But again, I only drank one glass of it, so not enough to be drunk ... just enough to have a nice buzz).

I sometimes feel like the only time I am posting on forums is when I am drunk. Joking (or exaggerating), even though I like to drink, I am no longer able to get drunk that easily. But it helps with keeping me focused and inspired when writing (the first drafts).

I spent the afternoon on the patio with my brother and we played Scrabble. I won (354 to 300). My last letter was V which is a really hard letter to get rid of. He brought his dogs and now I have dog hair on my shirt.

My grand-nephew (on my husband’s side) sat with us for an hour or so. He kind of inherited my husband’s shop so is over often. Great kid.

We barbecued hot dogs! My brother brought over Juicy Jumbos. Omg, so delicious. I haven’t had a hot dog in over a year, and I really enjoyed that hot dog today. One of life's great gifts.

I do a beer review. My "beer fairy" has decided that I must reach my 500th beer by my birthday at the end of October. So he gifted me some more beer. Recon I'll be close to 430 by the time I get it finished and reviewed.
