Because sensible people grab a sandwich, soup, or salad for the midday meal?

We make breakfast, lunch, and dinner at our house. I don't think we ever say we cook meals.

*shrug* I start work early, so I don't have time to cook breakfast. I just grab a bowl of cereal, wolf it down, make (and pack) some lunch, and go to work.

The only time I have for actually cooking something for breakfast (like an omelette) is Sunday morning.

If you get bored, you can come cook at our house. Pay sucks, but you can have a nice mattress in my sewing room and we'll take you out to lunch at Olive Garden on your days off. Of course, it's the dog mattress and you'll have to share with a 95 pound lab, but he's a sweet dog.

'Write what you know' is sometimes perhaps taken too literally. Writing about familiar characters in different contexts can still be considered writing what one knows.

The audience could have been already familiar with some of the plots (since the plays were often based on existing stories).

I was watching a movie from the 90s yesterday and one character says to the other, "I'm going to blah blah blah and I left the number and address on the fridge."

Remember having to do that? Made me smile.
