The main story I’ve been shopping around this summer landed an acceptance. I don’t know if you frequented the old Rejection, Rejection, Rejection thread on the old .org, but that’s what the smilies were for.
I wasn't on the old forum. Congrats though, that's wonderful!
Thanks! This one was mercifully fast: three rejections and a few months out on sub before an acceptance on what I believe was the fifth submission (which means there are also some withdrawal notices to send).
It couldn’t be a starker contrast to a different story I sold this year, which spent three and a half years on sub with over a dozen rejections. Glad I decided to roll the dice with simultaneous submissions this time.
On this note, sending out withdrawals is such a weird feeling, like a total reversal of the normal submission process.
