For all things Astrology.

Neptune moved into Aries recently and I am really feeing it. I just want to create, write, do things. Because it's conjunct my mars that is at 0 degrees Aries in the 3rd house. So... I wanna write and write and write and aahhh!! But I also have to focus on school. How has this planetary shift working out for all of you? I am honestly excited about Saturn moving into Aries in February, as I know he will give me a stern talking to and help me get back on track. I honestly like Saturn as a planet. Anyway, I would love to hear your thoughts and all. If you posts charts, do not include name or personal information. Just post the pie wheel!

Astrology is fun, though I can't say I really believe in it. But if it helps to orient you to good things, that can't be all bad.

I'm an Aries, and here is my horoscope for today -

Consider making some plans for a vacation or short getaway, Aries. Looking forward to something fun can make even the toughest of days far easier to handle. You'll be amazed how much you can manage when there's an end in plain sight. Your entire attitude can lighten. So take the bull by the horns and create an incentive for yourself. Do something special to reward the hard work you do day after day.

I completely understand and yeah! It does help me make good choices. :)

And ah, yes! This is good advice. Neptune is a planet of retreats and inner-contemplation. Funny thing, I am also an Aries! So, I was going to go on a short trip last week but ended up not due to the weather. Where did you find this horoscope?

Hell yeah Aries unite. Fire is the best element.

Ms. Dren (also Aries) and I read each other past, present, and future tarots every year as a meditative thing. I assume that falls under astrology?
Fire is the best element for sure. :)

And ah! I do yearly Tarot Spreads, too! My family does a circle wheel with one card for each month. It's really fun and I always look forward to it. Honestly, it doesn't fall under Astrology, because it's the tarot cards, which is a different medium. Like water colors are not the same acrylic paint, but they are both useful and interesting. Both are important and can work together to form a bigger picture of a situation. Out of curiosity, what decks do you use?

Your Taurus Moon Cheat Sheet

(none of those worst personality traits apply to me!)

I don't even know what this means. Hang on, let me Google...

My moon sign is Taurus! Whatever that means!
Well, the moon sign is what is INSIDE. The Sun Sign is what people see when they meet you. So, they see an Aries when they meet you and inside, you're more Taurus. So, grounded, steady, hard-working and also likes to just relax. Think like Ferdinand the Bull. I would suggest looking up your rising sign too. You get that by using your birth time and place. Because the rising sign is the sign that was on the horizon when you were born.

Mine is Aquarius, so I'm an Aries Sun, Gemini Moon and Aquarius Rising. So I look at the big picture, am a bit eccentric and care a lot about making the world a better place. As for Gemini Moon, it means I have a lot of ideas, sometimes become indecisive and like to talk a lot about a variety of topics.

I don't know a great deal about it, though always thought Pisces summed me up pretty well, two fish swimming in opposite directions. Having never thought much about Moon sign, I stuck my date of birth into an online calculator. I'm not sure how significant time of birth might be, but I don't know it and just went with default, minute after midnight.

Moon sign is Aquarius, apparently and this is what the site said:
You are sociable, compassionate, independent and freedom-loving. Friendship is very important to you and you love to mix with many different groups of people. You are often attracted to unusual or unconventional personalities. You are kind to those around you and are always helpful and ready to give advice. However, you are also able to be objective and can distance yourself slightly from the emotional aspects of any situation. This essentially means that you are able to help others without becoming unnecessarily entangled in their affairs.

Note to self: there's no flipside cited. I've been telling people for years that there's nothing wrong with me and now I have evidence!

Pisces is a great sign. And honestly, the birth time is very important, but don't worry too much about it. Just make your best guess. Because it changes your rising sign, which determines how the chart is laid out.

Yes, you do! Haha on them! Aquarius Moons are very interesting. They care deeply about other people and social causes. They like to take action and walk their talk.

When I was in my twenties and early thirties, I learned to cast charts the old fashioned way, using volumes of ephemerides and all sorts of lovely mathematical calculations. Then I learned to interpret the charts; Dane Rudhyar was a guiding light. I enjoyed myself hugely, but moved on to other things. I couldn't bear to give my large collection of atrology books to the library or used bookstore, though, so they sat on my shelf for about forty years before I found someone who wanted them. Alas, she was overwhelmed by the complex nature of the matter and went back to consulting online sources. My daughter-in-law has the books now.

Do I believe in it? Well, I don't check my chart before I plan my day. I think that any truth at birth is soon mitigated by experience and circumstances. But I also think it is great fun to play with, along with Tarot cards, palmistry, and numerology. To that end:

Aries, Aries rising, moon in Taurus.

Oh, that all sounds so cool! Do you remember the titles of the books? I am interested in the ephermis stuff and have never knew anyone who has done it.

Haha, me neither. But sometimes at the end of a bad day, I realize the planets were not having a good time, so I was not having a good time. LOL.

Do you remember the titles of the books?
Nope, I don't. The ephemerides were produced by the Rosicrusians. I had a pile of volumes separated by decades, but have seen single volume versions. Check Amazon. There were a couple of other technical books, but I can't recall their titles after all these years. I mentioned Dane Rudhyar; I had The Astrological Houses and at least a couple of other of his books. I also had a series of books that formed a course in basic astrology.

My favorite part was casting the charts. I like puzzles and the end results were kinda pretty, too.

Oh, I should look into those. Hey, wanna swap charts for reading?

I use archetypes (as described by Linda Goodman) to help in inventing characters' personalities, but I never mention astrology in my stories. Nor do I necessarily give the characters a birthday to fit. I don't mean to imply causality.

My blessed departed mother had a copy of Sun Signs, got right into it, told me I'm an Aquarius and said that explains everything, whatever it was. My dear wife is right into women's woowoo stuff, and in actual fact went last weekend with her gaggle of woowoo friends to some astrology workshop. They also go off to tarot and crystals and Reiki and I forget what else. Drum circle last time I think. It's just a bunch of middle aged women jawing all night telling the same story 5 different ways, as they do. I don't believe in any of that stuff, just UFOs.

I like the woo-woo circle in your avatar. Which one is you?
