A two-legged Chihuahua named Champ detected a potentially fatal heart attack before his owner even felt symptoms, saving his life in the process.

63-year-old Andrew Kuzyk says Champ’s unusual behavior—hugging his chest and whining —prompted lifesaving medical attention.

Congratulations to Maria Corina Machado for winning the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize - for her tireless work promoting democratic rights for the people of Venezuela and for her struggle to achieve a just and peaceful transition from dictatorship to democracy

Ms Machado has been a key, unifying figure in a political opposition that was once deeply divided – an opposition that found common ground in the demand for free elections and representative government.

The Iberian lynx has been reclassified from "endangered" to "vulnerable" after a huge conservation effort. The population has climbed to 2,000 from 60 in the last two decades. Mostly, they are found in Spain. Here's some babies:

I've kept the old WritingForums (with an S) in the web sites I check every morning. It's changed. The banner no longer says it's closed.
