once the Locke Arc is finished, Bertrand and possibly Min could go on their own paths.

So, the confrontation with Locke will not be the final climax?

I just don't know how much longer we can prolong the final confrontation, ya know? We know what his goal is, we just gotta find him and stop him now. I figured the Immortal Brothers are going to be involved too, but then afterwards Rennie and Tala have an important calling themselves.

So, that confrontation will involve - (reposting something posted before) -

We have our triad -

Shan (Chinese) = Great Earth … has the mechanical heart (related to hidden wisdom)

Tala (American Indigenous) = Voice of the Salt Sea … has the mechanical owl (related to depth/memory)

Rennie (Scottish) = Storm Wind … has the mechanical gun (related to movement/action)

They will have to somehow work together to accomplish/create “The One” that can prevail over Tobias Locke

They will be assisted by the Immortal Brothers of the Mountains -

Gyatso (Chinese)

Alto Mesioq (American Indigenous)

Liath (Pictish – Scottish)


Then - a final calling for the triad?

I have an inkling of an idea that involves Tala and the Immortal Brothers...something that we'll have to come to after Locke is dealt with, but we'll see how everything plays out.

Note - all the references to the "one true God" - that is Min's POV but we can take that in any direction you choose.

I kind of left it open in case that is a story thread we would like to pursue in the future.

The others were clearing the camp, but Min was restless. Unable to anchor a clear thought in her mind, her heart was heavy with sorrow and anxiety. “I need to stretch my legs,” she called to Daiyu, then marched in the direction of the forest.

“Don’t be long,” Daiyu answered. “We’ll be departing shortly.”

Min made no response, but kept walking, her hand on Tung-Bai curled around her neck. “I am so tired of taking orders from them,” she whispered to her copper serpent.

The woods were at their enlivening peak of greenness, and Min hastened her step in the humid air. There was no path, but...

My first entry is up! I hope that's a satisfactory emotional pivot for Shan.

And I definitely did not think the Shan / Saran naming situation through enough before writing. I'm sorry. They're very similar names! I hope it's easy enough to read.

I'll also need to correct a couple of things in Saran's character sheet: she is 50, and her husband's name is Jun Hie.
