Thank you for your good wishes. Now I'll be wondering what tradition that blessing comes from.
I didn't post a shot of the rear with my new license plate (because reasons), but I'm taking it as a good sign that it begins with the letters M-Y-W, myw, which means "life" in Welsh.
English words spoken in Ireland as shorthand well wishes. It's been said to me by someone every single time I changed my car.
I had a gut feeling they were Celtic/Gaelic of some sort, but felt shy of venturing to suggest it.

Yesterday I bought face paint for my grandson's Halloween costume. It just now occurred to me I don't know anything about painting faces. I haven't worn makeup in almost two decades, and even back then I only wore it for jury trials or dance performances, which actually have a lot in common. Perhaps when I retired and washed makeup off for the last time, someone should've said Well wear!

My thing is venturing down gosh-awful twisty back roads returning home from rural pulpit supply gigs. Then there's our cavernous potholes. The AWD will come in handy.
All that said, I'm still upset I'm having to give up the PT Cruiser. The tow truck's coming for it on Monday, and I feel like I'm putting down one of my cats.
I get attached to vehicles, too. Thank the PT for its faithful service, tell it you love it, and send it off to its eternal rest.
