I have a bottle of Gordon’s gathering dust on my shelf because all I taste when I drink it is the life of a skint student surrounded by bars that only serve G&Ts with Gordon’s gin.

Today was the last day of one of my parents' work, they are officially retired now. I was used to them having career and me borrowing money and struggling with my life choices, now it could be the other way around. Luckily I have a job in the next year or so.

It's a common malapropism, to use one of Elle's favorite words. A shock absorber on a car is a damper. A baby installed in a diaper is a dampener.

I have some personal experience with these things. I have an old car. I have two kids.

I like to write and I have those munchkins. Naturally, car maintenance suffers.
