Just that they were named after a place in the Old Testament of the Bible. Salem was the kingdom of Melchizedek in Genesis. Salem is generally accepted as a very early name for Jerusalem.

When I was dancing, I occasionally added a PITA tax to my fee for difficult venue owners. This sounds like one of those clients.

This was a fixed-price job for a paid beta read over on Upwork, so no overtime.

Fortunately, she accepted my (vigorous) denials and approved payment. I think she’s just a little paranoid at the moment, because the last two books I’ve beta’d for her company feel like they’re at least partially written by an LLM. She had her suspicions, and I had mine, and we hadn’t compared notes until now.

I couldn't find my earbuds this morning and was tempted to call out sick rather than deal with not having them. I'm currently at work and all I hear is the buzzing of the HVAC and flourescent lights.

I am tempted to make a request to my manager that I do my shift in the 'creepy' basement, the same one with a stain from flood waters and a hole in the wall where a boiler used to be in the 1800's. We work near the Oregon State Hospital where there were tunnels to escort patients and that basement happened to be an entry point at one time. I would rather be there than be earbudless around people.

I would look very deeply into what the source and what was the population queried. Are they 14 year olds or 29 year olds? Are they heterosexuals? Are they fundamentalists? How do male-male or female-female couples define husband and wife.

And most importantly, what is the agenda behind whomever is making this claim. Whoever it is may not have general education foremost on their mind.

I'm not saying it's not reputable, just be aware of the agenda. You may be able to find an equally reputable study by an organization that represents something else that says something different. I can think of 29 countries that would say one thing and 29 that would say something else.
