Technically that works, but it doesn't do what I need it to.
It's like when you have to go up in a crane to fix a high voltage cable on your first day, and the veteran you're with is talking about sandwiches because he's licked so many cables with 20,000 volts already.
I see...... you need a word that's a little more electrifying! It will shock you when you find it!

I think my sentence structure was just getting in the way.
"Blasé" is the word I'm looking for, but it doesn't work in the sentence provided in the original post.

My terrible jokes aside, "unflappable" sounds like the best option. It gives me the mental picture of someone like Daria folding her arms and glaring. Something like this:

Blasé is not about surprises. It's about all of life, a sort of uncharmable ennui. If someone is blasé about something in particular, it means they should react with enjoyment but do not.
Was a bit afraid to click that link because the last time I saw Daria it was in a Rule 34 context.
According to Merriam-Webster it means "apathetic to pleasure or excitement as a result of excessive indulgence or enjoyment."
That seems quite like what I need.
A person should be impressed to be sent by the current Devil to rescue God with the help of a wolf who sold his soul, right? Or is that just me? It definitely isn't the daughter, who's had aforementioned Devil visit on several birthdays, may be God's god daughter (though that'll prolly get cut), and knew the wolf when he was still a guy. I hasten to add it need not be chicken dinner. Maybe beef stew or some kind of sushi, depending on their dietary preferences. You could go radical and leave food out of it.

No need to worry. I don't link to pictures like that. (Ugh. I've no idea why some people feel the need to draw those kinds of pictures).
Besides, I like Daria (the show), even if Daria herself can be judgmental and unlikeable sometimes.

If I'm honest, I'm there more than I care to admit. The place is flooded with AI dreck, and there's a lot of look-mom-I-drew-a-penis pictures, but some artists there make actual art. Like, the only reason it's not up in a museum is because they prefer less sticky pictures. I tried getting one artist for a book cover, long ago. They didn't know how to do covers and it would have been my first one, so we decided not to. But still.
Anyway, Rembrandt is pretty good, but The Night Watch could benefit from more breasts, you know? ;o)
I don't remember Daria as well as Beavis & Butt-head, but I remember enjoying it. Was refreshing at the time to have a main character that wasn't always likable. Like an actual human.
