Writing challenge: Cinquain Chain

So... wanna play a game? I write a cinquain, the next person uses the last line to write the next one and so on till the servers die or we do 😱

For clarity's sake, we'll use the standardised form of five lines and a syllable count of:

Line 1 - 2 syllables
Line 2 - 4 syllables
Line 3 - 6 syllables
Line 4 - 8 syllables
Line 5 - 2 syllables

The subject can be anything, it doesn't need to rhyme. If you choose your words carefully it can take on a really nice shape but it's not necessary.

Newbies and veteran poets alike welcome. Short forms like this are really versatile so offer something for everyone, hopefully ☺️

Here's a famous one:

November Night

Listen …
With faint dry sound,
Like steps of passing ghosts,
The leaves, frost-crisp’d, break from the trees
And fall.

Adelaide Crapsey 1878 –1915 (This poem is in the public domain)

So the next person would use 'And fall' to start their poem, like this...

Of trust,
the writer wrote.
Relationships built up,
only to dash it all to hell.
Surprise!

Surprise!
I'm still alive,
or so I'm told; It feels
more like death or slowly drowning
in time

In time
I hope for more
To breathe, to rise; To sing
and dance again, to celebrate
My heart

Greedy, I know, but after I wrote the first one, I didn't want to leave it unanswered :)

My heart,
it beats for you.
Do you appreciate,
the way it speeds up when you are
nearby?
