Day 337: Anniversary Contests (and other hoopla)

Hey hey! One month until our one year anniversary on 5.17.2026. Yay!

We will be running a year end contests for short stories, flash fiction, and poetry. We won't be doing the Fourth Contest, as those are non-comparable. Because there were technically no contests in May 2025, this will be an eleven month cycle from June 2025 to April 2026 to get the voting to coincide with our actual anniversary. For subsequent years, it will be a normal twelve month cycle. With the April 2026 winners still undecided, we will need to wait on May 1st to drop the short story entries, May 7th for poetry, and May 15th for flash. Voting will be open for 30 days on all polls to allow adequate time.

I've been keeping a running tally of the winners and wanted to put them up ahead of time so you can get a head start if you'd like. Please let me know if any of the links or titles are still messed up.

Those will be when the yearly contests open, as we have to wait for the last round of monthly winners.

This sounds like a good contest idea.

On a selfish note, is there going to be any 'event' for people who have been here the whole year? Like a 'Special Workshop' thread where we can post a showcase piece? I think doing a badge would be hard, so was trying to think of something that all of us could do? Also, selfishly, because I want to be part of the party.
