Out of 4,774 recipes in my database, dill is uniquely utilized in exactly one: the jalapeno tartar sauce. To be fair, the tartar sauce is used in 8 menu items, so technically that's 9 recipes, but only one at the prep stage. That's all I have to say about dill.

We use it in pickles and potato salad.

I love dill!

You need to spread all kinds of it over your cabbage rolls in sauce as they bake.

a footnote - my Mom had some dill in her freezer so i have dill for my Greek pasta salad!

Costco sells a really nice dill pickle salad kit but I haven't bought it recently because it is too fattening.

Dill is used a lot in greek and turkish dishes and eastern european...its also quite common in middle eastern food. I grow my own and use it a lot

dill pickles on the other hand are the work of the devil and ought to be killed with fire

I was a little surprised at how underrepresented it is in my world. But the database don't lie. I'm serious. It's like my lodestone, spirit animal, career capstone, and bible all rolled into one. If it disappeared tomorrow, I would cease to exist.

sounds like the sort of thing that gets targetted... i work in local government and we just went to 64 character memorable phrases as a result of the recent hacks of co op, M&S and so on

You'd think so, but restaurants are never targeted for cyber attacks. They don't really make money. We do $15 million plus in revenue but might have less than a grand in cash on hand on the wrong Tuesday in the wrong month where payroll hit 5 times instead of 4. And restaurant people are pack mule stupid. We could have the full force of Russia holding us hostage and would go on flipping burgers like nothing happened.

Checked the map for difference in mileage for two routes home. Only 25 miles difference. Shorter route is city driving. I'll opt for the longer route.

Going to make my salad to bring to my sister's today - then off to watch my grand-niece's soccer game.

But - they are calling for a thunderstorm this morning so I'm not sure I'll make it.

Not going to make the salad? Make it to your sister's? Make it to the soccer game? Words matter.

Lol, no, I am making the salad. It's the soccer game that would be called off if there is thunder and lightning.
