Gee whiz, it's been alternating here between 44 and 50 F. The hottest we've had all week was 59 F. (Heatwave!) 
Tonight, and for the rest of the weekend, it's also supposed to rain ... and there will be very high, cold winds. Brrr...

The only time we let the cats roam free was when we lived in the bush when I was a kid. And oh, did some of them roam! Pretty well all of 'em would come back home before we all went to bed, but we had one wild boy who would sometimes disappear for 3+ days. I would've loved to see the remote video footage of his adventures.
Since I moved to the city more than 20 years ago, and then moved to another city, yeah, always inside cats. BUT - you can always take them outside with a harness so they can nibble on some grass, sniff around, and take in the sun.
We have had the most perfect week in recent memory. Warm but never to the point where I felt I needed to get away from it. And the nights have been 70 and breezy without a trace of humidity. I fell asleep on my patio two nights ago and spent almost the entire night. My wife thought I was dead because she couldn't fine me anywhere.

90s during the day here. After being gone two weeks, i came home to find my garden in need of attention. Roses are past full bloom, but after deadheading and fertilizing, I hope the repeat bloomers will have a healthy second blush.
Thunderstorms in the forecast today.
Time for my second cup of coffee.
For the first time ever, I successfully slipped a rose. My husband kept it watered while I was gone, and I came home to leaflets... that have aready been partially munched by insects. 
My goal today is to write a story.
My niece is giving me a lesson in hair-care products.
Time for a nap.
I feel that way, today, too! I'm having a hell of a time getting any writing done.
I finally got the first paragraph out of my story and it doesn't suck!
As long as it also doesn't blow, you're golden.
