Clé deas, clé deas, clé deas,,,,

Father and brothers all in FCA used to shout out the marching rhythm at unexpected intervals. Usually there was alcohol involved.

I still mix up left and right. It doesn't come to me automatically. I have to think about it for a second to get it right.

When you find yourself humming the cadences thirty years later

C130 rolling down the strip
Airborne badass gonna take a little trip
stand up hook up, shuffle to the door
jump right out and count to four
main don't open pull the reserve
reserve don't open they lose their nerve
last thought as they hit the trees
should've joined the real infantry

Comrade! I taught dance for decades. At some point while working through a choreography, I heard a student tell another student, "No, Catriona's right." I turned around and said, "Okay. No more right and left. That's west, north, east and south. That's northwest, northeast, southeast, southwest." I don't have any trouble with clock or counterclockwise, but left and right- uff da.

Nope, never used that, though I knew it was a thing. As a child, I relied on the smallpox vaccination scar on my left arm As an adult, my wedding ring is on my left hand. I will still say left when I mean right. It's a weird brain thing.
