I have two large avocado trees, so everything is avocado and ...
I will probably have pepper jack and avocado on sourdough for lunch.

I eat a lot of salad. I buy the six-pack of romaine hearts and wash and cut it up all at once and store it in the fridge in a large Tupperware container. Ready when I need it. It's keeps well for up to 3-4 days.

I splurged and got a couple of jars of some really nice apricot jalapeno jelly at the food shop at a local winery.
It was $10/small jar, but it is so good!

There used to be a big avocado tree across the street from my house and the whole neighborhood would pick from it but for some reason the city cut it down, it might have had something to do with the raccoons eat from it, idk. I have a plum tree behind our house that for some reason only produces a few plums here and there, and we also have a lemon tree on the side of the house, so I'm always using lemons in everything haha. Our lemon tree was struck by lightning before, which was crazy, but its still healthy and producing lemons lol. Apparently lightning is prone to strike lemon trees, who knew.

The romaine I use is grown and packed in Quebec. I wonder if they have a better track record.
Oh, I'm sure they do. I think it's more endemic to the irrigation structure in California where we get it than the romaine itself. Though, as you've heard me say many times here before, RTE vegetables that live in dirt at the perfect bacterial PH level will get you sicker than anything else you're likely to come across. Having worked with sushi for most of my life, I have to defend it constantly.

Today I put some leftover rib-eyed steak, sliced thin, in my salad. It was so good!

I don't know why I love salad so much. It's funny the different foods different people like.

I have a sister-in-law who has a real sweet tooth. She eats candy by the container-full.

Confession: I love iceberg lettuce and choose it over any other. My favorite breakfast, which usually happens around 10:30 or 11:00, is either salad or green chili. Real green chili: no beans and no tomatoes.
