Corn starch is a folk remedy for staunching wounds. It has been used on surgical gloves for some time, but new studies suggest corn starch can enhance bacterial growth in infected wounds.
 
Got a text from my niece at her Seattle hospital. This weekend, five motorcycle riders have been admitted to the ICU after five motorcycle accidents.

Last week, my sister drove by a motorcycle accident and the 62-year-old man who died in it was still on the side of the road.

This morning on the highway a motorcycle flew by me- he had to be doing close to 200 km/hr
 
Thanks, Catriona. He was able to drive his pick-up for a few years after he gave up his bike (with MS balance is one of the first things to go) and he said giving up his motorcycle license was harder than giving up his driver's license.
