I have a big calendar on my desk. I know everyone uses their phone these days for reminders, but I work best with paper.
I have one hanging on the wall in my kitchen, one on my phone, my laptop. Do I ever actually enter things into them? Not really, no.

I write down everything or else I will forget. I send myself emails, too, as reminders

I don't forget my dog's meds or appointments, I do write those down and set reminders. Maybe it's subconscious and I don't want to remember things. *shrugs*

I have a paper calendar and one on my phone that I try to keep synchronized. I also write down things like the number of miles I've walked and when I submitted important papers/payments/requests.

I use the free notepad app on my phone for all that kinda stuff now. The most important file in there is, "Subscription Expiries."

Little late posting the March meme, but better late than never, I suppose.

IT IS NAHT FEBRUARY IT IS NAAAAHT!

Or 362436 though I'm not Australian and don't know how to write it properly. I still know the number lol.
No one? Am I the only person who knows Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap - AC/DC ? 😮

Well, I know the band and I've heard the song, but I don't recall a number being in it. I have a peculiar hearing disorder that makes it difficult for me to make out words in a song when there is a lot of instrumentation going on. Understanding conversation in noisy environments is just as difficult.

"Pick up the phone, I'm always home. Call me anytime. Just ring 3,6,2,4,3,6, hey."

It's a totally blue sky day here. Snow is all melted. I am peeling and mincing 15 heads of garlic for my freezer supply. I mix the minced garlic with a little bit of olive oil and spoon it into an ice cube tray. Keeps me in garlic for a little while.

I belong to the class that thinks garlic makes everything better.

Our snow yesterday turned to freezing rain so now I can ice skate in the yard. Or I could if I had ice skates. Instead it's just slide until something stops you or you land on your ass. Good times.

Between mincing garlic, and making headway with the story I am working on, it's a good day

An interesting article about this winter's weird weather, with informations from a Wyoming meterorologist:

A Tale of Two Winters

Eastern folks: you really did get Wyoming's winter.
Very interesting. The joke circling around here is I didn't replace the snow blower when it died three years ago because we didn't get enough snow to make it worth it. And after the worse winter I'll see in my lifetime, I'm sure as shit not going to buy another one now.

How come? I'm just curious, as they're both shelf stable.

Anything keeps better in the freezer. I mince up a large amount at a time. it would go bad in the fridge.

Then, when I need garlic, i just pop out a minced hunk from the freezer

K. I don't mince it that much. Usually half slice and fat slice, depending. I think I go through two bulbs a week on average. Not something I would need to preserve. I wouldn't recommend eating it raw after it's been frozen unless you can't get your hands on fresh. Once the oils are released it slowly degrades.

Shrimp, on the other hand, I have going out of my ears. At least 6# in the freezer right now. Scampi, fra diavolo, chiles camerones, shrimp tacos... I haven't done the shrimp anise in a while. Wrapped in proscuitto and seared in sambucca. Usually over arugula with some shaved fennel (anise). I'm missing something in there. I can picture the dish on the plate from an Italian joint where I used to work, but I'm missing something.

Wow. I like garlic, but y'all make me look like a total slacker. Takes us a couple of weeks to use up a bulb.

Years ago, my husband gave me a vented clay pot for storing garlic bulbs. Works just fine. We bought minced garlic in a jar during a period when produce section garlic looked like it originated in Pompeii before the eruption. It surely wasn't the same as fresh, but it was better than nothing. In the summer, we have garlic in the garden. Little bit of it goes a lot further than grocery store garlic.

Got to use some of my garlic! made Na'an breads. First, brush with olive oil and heavy on the minced garlic. Bake at 400 for a couple of minutes to slightly cook the garlic. Then layer on chopped broccoli, Feta, and pine nuts, topped with Havarti slices. bake at 400 for 5 minutes, then broil for 2
