Thank you, Link.

You're absolutely right: why would the Kellers fake something like this? It makes absolutely no sense.
I have a story of my own: I've worked in the healthcare industry for nearly 20 years, and in the disability sector specifically for almost 6½. (I'm not a medical person, e.g. a doctor or a nurse. I 'just' work in the accounts division).
The business I'm in helps people who are disabled, and also
employs people who are disabled. So I can see, day by day, how well they do.
One of them works in our reception office, despite having trouble walking. We rely on her for our ingoing and outgoing mail, along other things (like being the first face of our business). She's been doing that job for almost as long as I've been there, and she does it brilliantly, despite her disability.
Some of our clients have written books. Others are accomplished artists. Some are good cooks. And that's just within our company.
Saying something like 'all disabled people are [XYZ]' makes about as much sense as saying 'all [fill in the blank] people are [XYZ]'. In other words:
No sense whatsoever. And people who say things like that can naff right off.
Ahem. Please pardon my rant, and my swearing. Thanks
