A 70-some friend of mine is about to spend a week in a northwoods cabin, without internet, and is a bit anxious about how she will spend her time. She "knows" she can read and walk and all that stuff, and that we all used to live without the internet, but is still not sure she and her husband can spend a week together so intensely.
At least I don't watch TV.
6 Nations, Munster rugby. No interest in TV otherwise, though I think i might need to curb my use of YouTube. Rabbit holes!

Game 2 of the SCF was a classic. What a game. Some incredible goals. Unfortunately, the Oilers lost in double overtime. It's tied 1-1 now, seems like it's gonna be one helluva series !

I never could get into beer. Probably the only alcoholic beverages I can stand are margaritas since they're sweet. More of a caffeine man myself.
I love a good lager. Sweet drinks are nice here and there, but I can't pound a bunch of them without starting to feel sick, whereas with beer...
Air quality index has dropped to 5, meaning "moderate risk." Still looks pretty hazy out there, but I think I'll be able to leave the windows open overnight and get some cool air in here.

It gives one pause, to realize we live in a world in which I can order hand-harvested flaky sea salt from the Westfjords of Iceland, and have it delivered to my doorstep the next day.
