Never mind all that, think of the average person of average intelligence that never lived in a universe without digital technology. That'll be damn near everyone in a few decades.
A 70-some friend of mine is about to spend a week in a northwoods cabin, without internet, and is a bit anxious about how she will spend her time. She "knows" she can read and walk and all that stuff, and that we all used to live without the internet, but is still not sure she and her husband can spend a week together so intensely.

Game 2 of the SCF was a classic. What a game. Some incredible goals. Unfortunately, the Oilers lost in double overtime. It's tied 1-1 now, seems like it's gonna be one helluva series !

Even if you're not a hockey fan you might enjoy the first 15 seconds of this clip. WHAT A MOVE. WHAT A GOAL.

I love a good lager. Sweet drinks are nice here and there, but I can't pound a bunch of them without starting to feel sick, whereas with beer...

Air quality index has dropped to 5, meaning "moderate risk." Still looks pretty hazy out there, but I think I'll be able to leave the windows open overnight and get some cool air in here.

It gives one pause, to realize we live in a world in which I can order hand-harvested flaky sea salt from the Westfjords of Iceland, and have it delivered to my doorstep the next day.

This salt is infused with magic, isn't it?

I'll let you know after I try it.

This reminds me of an old saying of my grandmother's (she was born in 1880!) - it went something like this:

You will not know someone until you've licked clean the lid of a salt barrel with them.
