It Began in a Tavern (OOC Thread) (Part 2)

maybe it is during this time that Melina gathers together her army - demons from the underworld that could not come out into the light but thrive in the dark
Could do, but she also has a human army in the real world. Perhaps, we can combine both.

then they need to be faced with some tremendous obstacle that they overcome - which gives them some new kind of power - not necessarily a physical power, but maybe a new insight - or even the confidence to take charge
You're of course free to develop Katara however you like. I am talking with Luxuria about Ravenna over PMs to hopefully come up with something.

I am guessing Katara will find a new side of herself when she learns that Barnabas is her father though. Either way, the main trio should receive a solid amount of development.

I already have some plans to make Olive into an entirely different person.

I think it's best to have army against army
Agreed. Let's do that.

I'm thinking the group who were at Kodama Abbey will all come in on the side of good
All of them are on the side of good right now except Hemios. He is you character though so this matter is entirely up to you :)

I should also note that in the latest post, when Melina asks about the remaining fragments, Kurai should not know about the location of all of them. This is really important if we want to execute a version of this:
One way this can happen is if the good group has some gear fragments, and the queen's group has some gear fragments as well. The battle happens, they all clash, and the queen manages to get all the fragments, assemble the gear, drive it, and then the crazy and phenomenal phase of the battle happens. At the end of which, she discovers the twist with the architect.

No need to change anything about the latest post. Kurai should just answer that he doesn't know about all of them, which makes sense because the other spirits hid them. That's established lore.

Noted. Thanks!

@IgnitedxSoul - does this affect your entry?

I already have some plans to make Olive into an entirely different person.
By the way, the Olive naming situation is a bit confusing. I keep interchangeably using Olive and Sophia, which is accurate, but kind of dumb. Her real name is Sophia so let's just go with that from now on.

But in story, she should still be referred to as Olive until I more properly establish her name, which I plan to do. Just for consistency.

One character I forgot was the amber girl. I added her to the index. Can you link the sheet when you can, @Louanne Learning ? Thanks in advance!

I think this is everyone now... hopefully.

By the way, I really liked your character sheets! They were fun to read for some reason.

What an excellent post indeed! You've been on a bit of a roll lately, haven't you?

Mirroring the first post is low-key genius. Sophia must restart, and she restarts when it all began. Brilliant!

It's my turn next. Let's see what I can do.

I tried scouring the previous posts to see if the Vessel had a name already. I couldn't find anything to hint at it. I almost said Eirini but I realized Yunna gave her soul to Olten and Pria.

I originally named her Casandra in my post, but I decided to leave it out since I'm not the one who introduced her.

The "vessel"'s name is Penelope. You can read about her here.

I normally keep this stuff secret but I decided to reveal her identity early in the sheet so the rest of you can have a bit of info to work with. I guess I wasn't too vocal about it and you missed it, sorry! I called her the "amber girl" earlier in the OOC thread. Not very smart of me. I should have been very clear about it.

I almost said Eirini but I realized Yunna gave her soul to Olten and Pria.
Yuuna actually just handed them an orb of ordinary sunlight, not Eirini's soul. She basically wanted Olten and Pria to take it to the city of Cliffcross so they have light. It was her way of saying to them that there is still hope.

To be clear about the Olive situation, because I understand that this can be confusing right now, Sophia is the reincarnation of Eirini. But Sophia lost her memories and took the name of Olive, whom has been the character we've been working with all this time. She is now inside a "new" body.

All of this might seem totally random at first, but I have quite a few reasons for it. I don't want to spoil more than I already have though. But I will cover about more of this in the upcoming post.

By the way, Olive as a name is just a hint that she is from the South, which is based in Ancient Greece. Olive trees are symbolic for us. They are everywhere in modern day Greece, especially in rural areas.

The symbol of our republic actually has olive branches! We used to be a monarchy though until recently. Thank the the heavens they were abolished in favour of a democracy.

Ah that makes sense, it tracks with Eirini's fascination with the coast like in Olive's dreams.
Yes, indeed. Eirini was raised near the sea, and so was Sophia. She was reborn in the exact same location. I have actually yet to cover the mystery that is Sophia's childhood. I have only covered Eirini's. I have a few ideas but I want to do something really shocking and twisty, so I'm still working on it.

The big Eirini-Myrto backstory was my attempt at giving origin and base to the current conflict. I am not sure how well I succeeded at it, but it is what it is.
