Exactly what I had in mind. "My Queen, although I tried... something most unexpected came my way!"
There are a lot of possibilities here. I think they should arrive to Cliffcross far more bonded and ready to face whatever is there.
Places bring opportunity. That said, 1/3 of the new map has been completed and I'll be posting it for feedback in a little bit.
Whatever you end up doing, I'm looking forward to it!
Oh, and here I was thinking that the climax would be at Cliffcross. I'm all for going to another setting after that, but that would require we deal with the stopping of time in Cliffcross - or - is that what leads us elsewhere?
A lot can happen at Cliffcross and it probably will (it better do because it's been hyped a lot at this point). It just won't be story ending.
What Gravy and I discussed, in case you missed it, is the Queen shows up and has a fight with Olive. Olive nearly dies but lives, and the story continues from there.
During that "first confrontation", we can have everything discussed. Barnabas saving Ravenna, his first exposure to the thoughts of changing sides, etc.
It's common for this to happen in stories. The main characters have a major failure and must rise back to their feet stronger.

I was able to copy it to a Word Doc and enlarge it to be able to read all the place names.
Wonderful! The continuation of Araspeth vs Olive is exactly what I had in mind. You hit the nail on the head.
And the scene with Barnabas and the others was such a nice read. I wish there was more.

Usually, to do this, I read the last few posts, and try to figure out what stands out as important. I try to figure out what is most likely next to happen, and how it will affect the characters.

Okay, I'm still working on the map. Unfortunately, because I'm an idiot, I forgot to save and every bit of progress since what I last showed to all of you got lost.
But I haven't given up. I re-did all of the earth region and now only a portion of it remains, which I'm glad of since it has taken so much work! I thought I'd check in and show what we currently have in case anyone has any feedback/objections.

Okay, I have a few questions. Can Katara play any instrument or sing? Also, I was wondering if you all would be okay with the 3 pretending to be traveling musicians. I think blending in is the way to go and so, I need some fake names. Any ideas for your characters?
