Suggestions and ideas

Hello, I am wondering if the number of critiques done by members in the Workshop is recorded anywhere?

i don't think so... that was part of a plug in on the OG which we don't have... we can check for individual members using the search if someone is suspected or reported to be majorly delinquent

I just noticed that in the advanced search a member may search direct messages. So, this means they are not private?

I didn't see anything in the privacy settings to turn this off.

I just tried it out by searching your name (sorry) and had no results. Then I searched in my name and got all the messages I had sent. So they do seem private.

Edit, I think I recall that if you report a direct message, mods will be able to see it?

That was the same at the old site, has to be that way because mods need access if anyones being groomed, harrased etc.. There is a plug in thatr allows admins to see all the DMs sent on their site, but we don't have that and i don't think we should, given the balance between member safety and member security

Definitely won't be doing that.

No ambition to be a low echelon version of Big Brother, hmm?

The part of my brain that deals with inconsequential matters just noted y'all could have matching nicknames: HoPo and SoMo. You're welcome.

That’s my alter ego Big deadly scary moose, he’s the one that will totally do moose stuff to you given due provocation

2 things:

Can we get a Meta-style heart-hug sympathy / commiseration icon added to the standard list of reaction emojis?

Many is the time I've wanted to use it where I wouldn't outright red-heart a comment here.

Also, could the laughing icon become a less hyperbolic version? Just the standard toothy grin or such? There've been a few times in the last week or so when I almost Funnied a post but didnt, because it wasnt laughing-to-tears or ROFL funny and I don't do hyperbole. I'd often like to acknowledge the humor in a post, but I won't stoop to being all gushy-American-tourist-abroad about it. So I end up not reacting at all, especially when a Thumb up could look like endorsing or condoning a ridiculous event or situation a member has related.
