i wouldnt have thought it matters - you guys arent going to be publishing this stuff anywhere else are you? the workshops and contests contents are hidden because of first rights... ideally we'd like non members to see it so they can think whoa that looks fun lets sign up to join in
Its a completely different type of question... writing discussions is plot dev/ character dev/ setting dev... discussions about the actual writing
talking about scrivener or alpha smart or whatever don't belong in there, same reason research is seperate

For now yes, if there’s sufficient demand we could open up its own sub forum like we had on the old site. I’ll add some prefixes when I get a moment

i don't really see a need for a seperate forum ... people can put novel excerpts in the workshop
In the Workshop, can we have more than one prefix per thread? I often write cross-genre stories, and one doesn't necessarily describe a story very well. I know we don't want threads loaded with every prefix under the sun, so maybe 2-3 would be doable?
i'll look into it but i don't think more than one prefix is possible... also the purpose of the prefixes is to enable us to easily split the section up by genre so double or triple prefixes wouldnt really be all that helpful. Prefixes arent mandatory so if a story doesnt fit any of them well leave it blank
I'm no longer seeing the "Staff Online" on the sidebar. Might not be a big deal for those familiar with forum structure, but could be useful for newbies if they need to reach out with a problem?

Turned if off deliberately it’s not needed now staff are coloured in the members online box
