That Moment....

All right, but why would you get to work so early? *curious* Why work for so long ... unless you also get to go home an hour-and-a-half early? :)
i had a doctors appointment and it was near my job. appointment ended early, so i parked my car at my job and walked to a cafe to hangout lol

TMW you find yourself with two copies of the same book, because you're so enthusiastic about a book that a member of your family asks to borrow your copy ... so, in your enthusiasm (and since you have money to spare), you buy them another copy -- but it turns out they're not as enthusiastic about it as you are. =\

i sorta kinda ended up in that situation in middle school lol!
A boy (someone i thought of as a friend) liked me and i dont remember how, but he found out what book i was reading or what books i liked? anyways... he gifted me with a book and wrote this really heartfelt message in the inside cover of it.....
i already owned that book and had read it multiple times 😅
But i didnt have the heart to tell him, so I ended up with 2 copies.
I think i got rid of one eventually, but dont remember which one i got rid of (i'll have to check the box of books in my garage)

Though hourly and on a set schedule, I typically get to work 45 minutes early. My reasoning is to make sure I get to work on time. We have an attendance bonus program. Go a quarter (three consecutive calendar months) without missing any time, and you get a nice bonus. Go a whole year, and get an extra $100. I'm topped out on the scale ($275/quarter), and that extra $100 is pretty nice, too.

I buy copies of some of my favorite books simply to hand them out to other people. These are the books I find at book sales, long out of print and bought for peanuts.

TMW you and your wife are traversing a particularly tricky segment of Eagle Trail, along the cliff face of Wisconsin's Peninsula State Park, and as you pick your way among the sharp and slippery rocks and glance down at the stony white shores of Green Bay, and at waves winking in the bright sun, you are seized with conflicting thoughts, the first being that this is the coolest thing you've done in years, and the second being, who decided it was a good idea to let someone your age out here like this, where you could get yourself really injured, if not outright dead. And then you realize the thoughts are two sides of the same coin and you're so glad you're doing it. And so relieved when you reach the trailhead again.

Salary sucks but I took a two hour nap in my office today, so that makes it worth it.

One I forgot to post while I was working on the last chapter:

That moment when someone practically whacks your protagonist over the head with the big plot twist that's about to happen, and he still doesn't see it coming.

The words "Do better, Brynjar" may or may not have been written in the margins.

TMW you think of a title for your book, google the title, discover that someone used it already, think "Dammit!", start thinking of a new title, and then figure "The hell with it", and keep working on your book anyway. =P

TMW your dogs moan and cry to go outside.... and when you let them out, they literally just stand there at the edge of the grass and thats it.

(Makes sense for my older dog, who doesnt like her paws getting wet... but my other dog gets the zoomies at the drop of a hat)

TMW you go to pick up a prescription... but apparently it went to a different pharmacy.
So you wait 15mins for them to fill it at the pharmacy you are waiting at...
(But wait, theres more)

The address they have is one from 6 years ago AND your maiden name.

So you update all of that BUT!!! you cant pick up the prescription because they need to update your insurance
(And you dont have your insurance card because you thought you were just picki g up a prescription).

So you go home, get your card, go back to the pharmacy AAAAAAAAAND......

Turns out they already had your updated inusrance card with the correct address and last name on file.

It just keeps coming...

TMW you and your siblings pooled $400 to get your mom a reservation at an expensive spa for her 60th birthday in 3 days (we planned it 2 weeks ago).....
And your mom tells you a few moments ago how she's so excited about the reservation she made herself at that same spa for her birthday 🥴

Did you call the spa yet? They'll straighten it out.
