I'd like to bring The Great Emperor Yu in as a recurring character, but I am sorry I can't find where he was first introduced.
I have a skeleton of a character profile made up for him, and hope whoever created the character can let me know if there is anything I should add - (or suggestions from any of you)
Name: The Great Emperor Yu
Male or female: Male
Age: Thousands of years old
Chinese, British, American or French? Chinese
Physical appearance:
Yu appears as an old man, but his exact age is unknown, since he has lived since the dawn of recorded time. His eyes are dark and penetrating. Portly, with a neatly trimmed beard and a long, thin moustache, he wears voluminous robes fashioned of gold silk, elaborately embroidered, and a flat-topped crown with hanging strings of jade beads.
Backstory:
The first emperor, Yu is the creator and builder of the Shen-Ji—the God Machine. He now resides above the clouds, in Chíjiŭ Temple, which translates to “the Enduring Temple” – but does sometimes make appearances on Earth.
Personality:
Thousands of years of experience has embedded restraint in him. His expression remains calm and unreadable. He possesses all the wisdom of all the books ever written, and is motivated by goodness and justice.
Other information:
Great Yu was introduced in my latest post. I didn't intend for him to still be alive, seeing as he's a legendary emperor said to have founded the first dynasty of China (Xia Dynasty). Some sources say he's connected to the Jade Emperor, or he even is the Jade Emperor. He is said to have been buried in the Kuaiji Mountains in Zhejiang province (Shanghai is nearby).
The guardian lion would be all that remains of him. But I'd like to see what you think first.
I've also tried to imply that there is more than one God-Machine. Maybe Locke can go looking for them and the party can chase after him.
