This song is about me

Here's an idea for a thread:

The thread title is not a reference to "He's So Vain." Instead, it's about a song or poem that, when you read or hear it, you think "This sums me up in a nutshell. It's really about me."

Here's my contribution. These song tells you everything about me that you need to know:

I can't think of one song that describes me, sorry. :-\ Songs usually deal with one topic, but life is much more complicated than that.

About a decade ago, I used to think this song was about me. But not any more. *shrug*

This:

Also this, which feels like a conversation between the me people get to see and the real me, who is usually locked inside because I live with family who wouldn't accept the real me:

I can't say there is a song that sums me up perfectly. Like Walt Whitman, I am multitudes. :D

That concept is from Whitman's poem Song of Myself, which seems an appropriate link for this thread.

So, sometimes, I am Country and Western. Sometimes, I am heavy metal. And sometimes I am an ancient ballad:

Uh ... you like to get drunk on an infamous brand of cheap Californian fortified wine?

(I'm referring to Night Train Express, which was extremely popular with Guns 'n Roses in their early days, since it was cheap and very alcoholic). ;)
More of the "mean machine drinking gasoline" part. Still in my top 5 favorite guitar songs to play. I feedback my Eastman hollow into my Marshall and try to bounce the sound off my metal radiator covers. Rattles perfectly with the low register if aligned properly.

Is it okay to post an instrumental? I connect with lyrics for songs, but I feel more found when I hear certain pieces. This one in particular is what I feel I would give someone if they asked me who I am in song.

The Barber Adagio is a killer classic for the heart strings.

(And I just noticed your signature, Dogberry's Watch. I know that quote! John Proctor is so messed up).

No words, just vibes. I tend to gravitate towards ones that remind me of how much of an airhead I am.

I got a lot of them that I'd love to post. Maybe I will. 🫠 :sneaky:
