What made me happy today?

Ironically enough finding grey hairs in my beard made me happy as it means I'm living long enough to start greying. Which is ironic as I'm in my early 30s, but all the same it still provided some joy.

Nothing like a gin and tonic after doing yard work all day. I hit the gutters, tilled the sunflower bed, cleared the weeds from behind the garage, fed the transplanted rose bushes, trimmed the hedges, pruned the silk tree, hard-edged all the flower beds, hosed down the fence, sprayed the bleach solution on the roof to get the moss out, scrubbed down the balcony... I love yard work! And gin.

Got to see my sister for a few hours today. She drove us around (since my car is still in the shop) and we had Taco Bell and then ice cream. We also got groceries together and then giggled on my back patio when we got back to my house.

After a long day in the office, nothing beats making your own dinner. I made some veggie salad, buffalo chicken, and sautéed garlic mushrooms. (Hmm ... garlic mushrooms).

I used my home-made greek yogurt as a base for a dill spread for the salmon i made last night. It went over well!
