I was wondering why the grocer was carrying less and less Yves plant-based products. They ran out of veggie dogs, seemingly never restocked, then the same happened with the Mexican ground round, burgs, nugs, and so on til they simply did not carry any of these products anymore.

Was thinking of checking out another grocer, but then I read a news story about Yves discontinuing all of their products in Canada 😭
Damn! I ate this stuff a couple times a week. Beyond Meat has great nugs, fingers, and burgs, but they are super PRICEY. A real tragedy for me and others who loved these products.

You cook, bud? If not, I feel like you would benefit it from it. All the processed stuff your grocery lacks you can make fresh yourself for a fraction of the price.

I'm a pretty decent cook. I focus on making things that are not cheap at the grocery store, say, lasagna, cinnamon buns. I won't bother with stuff that's super cheap, like perogies for example.

There's no way I can make my own soy-based processed fake meats, though. I can make my tacos with beans instead, but nothing will beat that fake ground round.
