The issue was that 100’s of sub-postmasters were convicted for financial irregularities. Some were given fines and others given suspended / custodial sentences. The sub-postmasters all claimed their innocence as it was eventually proven that the Horizon computer system which the Post Office installed was the root cause of all the issues. The issues began in the early 2000’s. The court cases and legal wrangling are still ongoing to this day. The High / Supreme Court has ruled that it was the biggest miscarriage of justice in British legal history.
Rewatched Stargate (1994) last night for probably the 20th time, but for the first time in many years. It still kicks ass. I love revisiting these old sci-fi spectacles on my giant, modern TV. I used to watch this one on like a 22" tube TV and a VHS tape.

My dad had a tiny tube television in his office growing up and I watched a lot of sci-fi shows with him on that. It's really a different experience. I love my grainy films but sometimes it's cool to watch remastered stuff.
DVD's are basically worthless now so i picked up a copy of The Princess Bride and Kung Fu Hustle for 1 dollarydoo each at a 2nd hand store while waiting for the wife to get her hair done (2.5 hrs) the other day.

I watched it years ago and really enjoyed it. I'm trying to buckle down and write more this week, as I have a magazine I want to submit to, but aside from that I plan on watching it soon at some point.
Sofa-bound today so am just settling in to watch 12 monkeys. I know I had, possibly have, it on video somewhere and have watched it but do not remember a thing. Here we go... The future is 1997!

I love 12 Monkeys. It's ahead of its time imo. Fascinating future world, great performances, excellent direction and writing. It was fun to see some of the aesthetics from Brazil, which I watched a long time after I first saw this film.
Thanks for the reminder to keep an eye out for this one to go on sale on 4K. It's one of those movies I'm definitely going to watch a few more times.
