What will be written in the praise pages in your book?

“Praise pages” being the place people sing your praises in the first pages of your book or on the dust jacket or even the cover itself.

I do this occasionally as a bit of fun and also to imagine the style I’m aiming for or poke fun at my own writing. This is not meant to be taken seriously.

Some examples:

Philip Pullman’s Northern Lights: “Pullman’s writing is spellbinding, his storytelling brilliant.”

Terry Pratchett’s Men at Arms: “He is screamingly funny. He is wise. He has style.”

Ursula K Le Guin: “Ursula Le Guin can lift fiction to the level of poetry and compress it to the density of allegory.”
