I don't know if people still say "I'll meet you by the Pillar" but I wouldn't be surprised if they did. You must research that when you get to Dublin.

One of our favourite things to do when travelling is to strike up conversations with the locals. So, if the opportunity presents itself, I will ask!

Under Clery's Clock. Same street. Clery's department store is closed but I think the clock is still there. Long time since I was on O'Connell Street. The spot under where the clock used to be is still there in any case.
